Access NARR Archive at NCAR

The following options are available to access the NARR data files.

• Access NARR data files on line (see the frame on the left, under Data Files) via web browser or wget or ftp.
• Access selected NARR data files in our ds608.0 dataset.
• Log on NCAR's computer systems to retrieve NARR data files from our Mass Storage Systems (MSS).
• Place a data order via DSS request form. Fees may apply.

The original daily tar files (including *a and *b files) from NCEP are archived on our Mass Storage Systems (MSS). Those MSS files are accessible to users with NCAR computer accounts. Their volumes are about 470MB per day.
