INVENTORIES OF UPPER AIR DATA SUPPLIED

TO ECMWF FOR 40 YEAR ERA

In 1998 and 1999, DSS supplied various data to the ECMWF for use in the ECMWF 40 year Reanalysis project. For more information on the data supplied to ECMWF for Reanalysis, please see the document titled Global Observations for Reanalysis written by Roy Jenne. Below are monthly and station inventories of most of the data DSS supplied to ECMWF.   Specific observations can appear in more than one data set.  Monthly inventories show counts of the total number of observations for each month and yearly totals.  Station inventories show counts per month and annual total of observations  for each station.
