	Missing data has been restored in ds115.3

The gap in ds115.1 (the ECMWF reanalysis advanced operational initialized 
surface analyses) has been filled.  The period 1981MAR09-1981DEC03 had
been missing because the tape sent by ECMWF, as well as the first
replacement tape they sent, was unreadable.  The data files were 
successfully read from the second replacement tape.  The MASTER file
for this dataset now shows the complete data record.

You can obtain the listing of the volume serial numbers containing 
the data from the file datasets/ds115.3/MASTER via anonymous FTP 
to ncardata.ucar.edu.  Or, use a WWW browser and open the URL 
http://www.ucar.edu/dss/datasets/ds115.3.html.  This file is also 
on the Mass Store under the name /DSS/D/DS1153.

        Basic Consolidated Dataset (ds111.2) update

The Basic Consolidated Dataset (ds111.2) has been updated with the October -
December 1997 data.  The new volumes are:

 Y41322         1997OCT
 Y41323         1997NOV
 Y41324         1997DEC

You can obtain the listing of all volume serial numbers in this dataset
from the file datasets/ds111.2/MASTER, via anonymous FTP to ncardata.ucar.edu.

This file is also on the Mass Store under the name /DSS/D/DS1112.

        Year-month means dataset (ds111.5) update

Monthly mean values have been computed for the last quarter of 1997 and
added to the ds111.5 dataset:  

 Y25397         1997 MONTHLY MEANS AT 0Z 
 Y25398         1997 MONTHLY MEANS AT 12Z 

These volumes now contain data for all of 1997.  You can obtain the complete 
listing of the volume serial numbers on the MSS containing the data via 
anonymous FTP to ncardata.ucar.edu in the file datasets/ds111.5/MASTER, or 
use a WWW browser and open http://www.ucar.edu/dss/datasets/ds111.5.html  
This file is also on the Mass Store under the name /DSS/D/DS1115.
