	Basic Consolidated Dataset (ds111.2) update

The Basic Consolidated Dataset (ds111.2) has been updated with the January -
March 1996 data.  If you are planning to use the data on an NCAR
computer, you can obtain the listing of the files containing the data from 
the file datasets/ds111.2/MASTER, via anonymous FTP to ncardata.ucar.edu.  
Or, use a WWW browser and open http://www.ucar.edu/dss/datasets/ds111.2.html
This file is also on the Mass Store under the name /DSS/D/DS1112.

	ECMWF Documents at NCAR

For some time we have made copies of ECMWF Research Manual 3 available.
This manual covers the physical parameterization used in the model.
We have recently received Research Manual 1, which describes the 
data assimilation, and Research Manual 2, which describes the adiabatic
part of the forecast model.  

If you are interested in a specific procedure which may be described
in one of these manuals, I may be able to copy just the relevant sections
and send them to you.  If you are interested in the entire manual, please
let me know and I will have them duplicated. 

I will be receiving a list of the changes to the analysis system since
11 November 1993, the last change date listed in the current "Technical
Attachment" document (dated 1994).  If you would like a copy of this
list, please let me know.  If you don't have a copy of the Technical
Attachment and would like one, let me know.

All of these ECMWF documents are hardcopy, so please include your 
mailing address with any requests.
