	Basic Consolidated Dataset (ds111.2) update

The Basic Consolidated Dataset (ds111.2) has been updated with the July -
September 1995 data.  If you are planning to use the data on an NCAR
computer, you can obtain the listing of the files containing the data from 
the file datasets/ds111.2/MASTER, via anonymous FTP to ncardata.ucar.edu.  
Or, use a WWW browser and open http://www.ucar.edu/dss/datasets/ds111.2.html
This file is also on the Mass Store under the name /DSS/D/DS1112.  

The volumes are:
	 Y28779         1995OCT
	 Y28780         1995NOV
	 Y28781         1995DEC

	Basic Consolidated Monthly Means dataset (ds111.5) update

Monthly mean values have been computed for the entire year of 1995 and
added to the ds111.5 dataset, replacing the files which previously contained
only January - July 1995.  The 0Z means are in /DSS/Y26771 and the 12Z means 
are in /DSS/Y26772.  If you are planning to use the data on an NCAR computer,
you can obtain the complete listing of the files containing the data via 
anonymous FTP to ncardata.ucar.edu in the file datasets/ds111.5/MASTER.

	Information on other ECMWF products at NCAR

NCAR has obtained a price agreement with ECMWF on the ds111.0, ds111.1, and 
ds111.3 datasets.  We plan to order the last 6 months of 1995 soon, and get
the data into our archives by sometime in March.

NCAR is still negotiating with ECMWF on a price for the ECMWF reanalyses.
This mailing list will be notified if an agreement is reached.  We are not
committed to obtaining this data, if it is too expensive, so potential
users of this product may want to consider the NMC reanalyses.  For
information on the NMC reanalysis products, contact Dennis Joseph at
joseph@ncar.ucar.edu.
