ERA-40 Global Land Surface Observation Feedback Record Reports
ERA-40 Global Land Surface Observation Feedback Record Reports include 3 hourly surface observation
feedback record reports from SYNOP land observations used in the ECMWF 45-year reanalysis (ERA-40)
covering the period from September 1957 to August 2002. SYNOP land observations, from multiple data
sources, were assimilated into an ECMWF model and produced ERA-40. Select variables include pressure, height, relative humidity, U-wind, and V-wind speed components. The metadata generated
during the ERA-40 quality control (QC)/data assimilation process were appended to the input observations.
The final combination of input observations and feedback metadata are called feedback record reports.
We are allowed to distribute this data to US scientists, scientists visiting US organizations, and Canadian scientists affiliated with UCAR member organizations only.
USAGE:
This data must not be used for commercial purposes. ECMWF must be given credit in any publications in which this data is used.
