Gelman's NMC Northern Hemisphere Stratospheric Analyses, wkly 1976Jul-1977Apr
|
|
Satellite radiance information was used to produce a "first
guess" of the geopotential height and temperature fields at the
5mb, 2mb, and 0.4mb stratospheric levels, and available
rocketsonde data was used to adjust the fields through an
objective analysis procedure. The 65x65 polar-stereographic
grids cover the Northern Hemisphere and are available weekly (on Wednesdays)
from July 1976 through April 1980 for the months of January,
April, July, and October.
