ECMWF has added 3 new variables to the archive, starting on October 7, 2003.

Many new variables became available starting in 2000 and ECMWF ceased archiving
several others. 11 new variables became available on January 01, 2000 and 14 new
variables became available on June 27. The tables below list the new variables
and the variables no longer available.
On June 27, 2000 ECMWF included 14 new variables in its Surface Analysis archive.
The bad news is that the old subroutines ECMWF provided do NOT decode
some of these new grids. You have to obtain the new subroutines provided by
ECMWF. Please see our software
page to obtain these subroutines and more information about this.
