The spectral coefficients and flux terms at the boundaries of NCEP's GFS (Global Forecast System) are archived in this dataset. Starting in July 2007, the 6-hourly analyses are saved. The forecasts up to 96 hours of 00Z, 06z and 12z cycles are also saved. Before July 2007, there is no 18z data.

Because the data files were saved to support research projects, there is no attempt to recover the missing data due to various causes. Inventories will be available for inspection.

The full spatial resolution of T382 is about 0.31 degree. Software to convert from spectral space to grids in netcdf format will be available. The netcdf files of three resolutions (T382, T170 and T62) of recent days are available on MSS.
