Parameter subset download scripts, and a sample NCAR Command Language (NCL) script which generates basic plots for GFS/FNL model data are listed below. Descriptive information (e.g. what varibles are available) can also be output using the NCL scripts. Click on the name link to download the desired file. Additional software may be found in the GRIB Library . There you will find software to convert from GRIB2 to GRIB1 and GRIB1 to GRIB2, in the "C code" bullet. Also note that the access software distributed with the Reanalysis CD-ROMs will access these grids. |
