ECMWF ERA-40 Agreement Form
Agreement for Use of ECMWF Data or Software Obtained from the NCAR Data Support Section

ECMWF permits NCAR DSS to distribute certain ECMWF data and software to US scientists,
scientists visiting US organizations, and Canadian scientists affiliated with UCAR
member organizations.  NCAR cannot provide data or software to users outside the US
except to specific UCAR member universities in Canada; and foreign data or software
users visiting US organizations may not take the data or software outside the US.
Prior to providing the data or software, NCAR is required to obtain a signed statement
from users which includes address, affiliation, and a brief project description.
A list of persons who have signed this form will be provided to ECMWF.

To fulfill this requirement, please read and sign the following statement:

I am qualified to use these data and/or software according to the conditions listed
above. I agree not to copy the ECMWF data or software provided by NCAR for the use of
other persons, and I agree not to use these data or software for commercial purposes.
ECMWF will be given credit in any publications in which these data or software are
used.  I understand that if other persons in my organization wish to use these data or
software, they must also sign a copy of this agreement.
