Dataset Lists

This page contains a list of several dataset lists to help you locate certain types of data. If you don't find what you need in one of these lists, you can search our site or you can contact DSS at dssweb@ucar.edu.

• All Dataset Titles
This link will take you to a page containing all of our dataset number ranges and the type of dataset in each range. From there, you will be able to view either a list of the dataset titles for a specific range or the complete list of our dataset holdings. From the lists, you will be able to access more information about the individual datasets.

• All Dataset Titles with Summaries (takes extra time to load)
This link will take you to a page containing all of our dataset number ranges and the type of dataset in each range. From there, you will be able to view either a list of the dataset titles and summaries for a specific range or the complete list, including summaries, of our dataset holdings. From the lists, you will be able to access more information about the individual datasets.

• All Free Datasets
This link will take you to a list of all of our datasets which can be obtained for free via the web. From the list, you will be able to access the individual datasets.

• Atmospheric Datasets
This link will take you to a page containing lists of selected types of atmospheric research data in our archive. From the lists, you will be able to access more information about the individual datasets.

• Oceanographic Datasets
This link will take you to a page containing lists of selected types of oceanographic research data in our archive. From the lists, you will be able to access more information about the individual datasets.

• Geophysical Datasets
We maintain various topographic and land-use datasets that may be helpful to modelers and other researchers. This link will take you to a page containing lists of selected types of geophysical research data in our archive. From the lists, you will be able to access more information about the individual datasets.

• Hydrology Datasets
This link will take you to a page containing lists of selected types of hydrology data in our archive. From the lists, you will be able to access more information about the individual datasets.

• Gridded Analysis Datasets
This link will take you to a page containing lists of selected gridded analysis datasets in our holdings. From the lists, you will be able to access more information about the individual datasets.

• WRF Model Input Datasets

Some of our datasets can be ingested into the NCAR/WRF model. This link will take you to a page with more information about the datasets that can be used by these models.

• Climate Model Outputs

We have outputs from several early climate models that were used in the IPCC First and Second Assessment reports.
